The design calls for the development of a 101105SQM plot of land in Zhengzhou's Economical and Technical Development Area, as a residential area, to comprise primarily of staff housing for the area's management committee.

The design approach was first to generate a planning grid using the various site boundary edges, followed by the placementof residential blocks decreasing in height from North to South.

The result is a rich series of spaces created by the intersection of grids, where gathering spaces and public amenities are located.
