DESIGN METHODLOGY

The works of the office can be loosely grouped into 2 categories, the brief specific and the site specific.

The brief specific approach is often more suited to projects on sites with little context, projects that involve repetition, or complex briefs that require specific functional zoning, hence our tendancy to the cartesian order of space as a starting point. The results are bold forms that are informed by the detailed analysis of the client's brief requirements.

The site specific approach involves detailed analysis of the sites with the aim of creating designs that are a direct response to the site conditions. Various methods are employed to analyse the site, which in combination with the brief requirements, allow us to produce designs that are bespoke to the site. The results are forms that have a strong visual relationship to its context, and spaces that fold out of the ground to create unique seamless experiences.
