Located immediately West of the train station, the site borders an existing school to the North, and is divided into 2 plots with a diagonal in between. The site has complex constraints, including an underground line that runs below the diagonally, massively restricting the buildable area of the site.
Locating the resettlement residential blocks on the Western portion of the site, the design of the commercial podiums and towers is a direct response to the existing site geometry. Intersection nodal points of 2 urban grids to the buildable site boundaries and other known constraints have been identified and mapped out, and subsequently manipulated to the permissible building volume, while achieveing the inended building area, with respect to complex daylight constraints.
The 160m office tower is located on the Eastern corner of the Southern plot. The 100m office tower is located along the Southern edge of the Northern plot, the 2 landmark towers together form a gateway to the development.
